About Sharaya

Sharaya (full name, Sharaya Howell) is a female rapper signed to Missy's label, The Goldmind Inc. Before she was signed, she worked as a choreographer for the movie series Step Up, and eventually made a cameo appearance on Step Up 2 The Streets. She has also briefly worked as a screenplay writer for several short films. Sharaya was introduced by Missy during a Crash Mansion concert back in January 2010, and a week later a snippet of her buzz single, "Green Light" emerged via internet. No details nor much background has surfaced on Sharaya's upcoming debut (which remains untitled) as of yet, the only details we know for right now is that Missy is definently an expecting contributor to the project and rumored productions for the album are set to feature SoulDiggaz, Lamb, Missy and Timbaland. By now we would expect some material other than "Green Light", but I guess Missy is keeping that material along with Block Party confidential. For now, I was able to come across two tracks from Sharaya's debut; an extended cut of the live performance for Where My Ladies At featuring Missy and an extended snippet of her buzz single, Green Light. But for now nothing else has turned up, let's hope Sharaya's debut manages to see a release.
